Almost twenty years after the original film comes the third sequel in the series. Herbert West has been caught and imprisoned but he remains obsessed with re-animating the dead. This time he believes he can resurrect bodies with the personality intact and he sets about proving it from inside the penitentiary with the help of new inmate Dr. Howard Phillips. Before you know it there are walking dead everywhere and despite West's best intentions it never works out the way he plans. This is darkly comic and seriously gory in keeping with the series. The plot and characters are even more ridiculous than in the previous films and Jeffrey Combs as West is the only real actor but this is still a lot of fun.
