When a research center for a company called Biotek is locked down under quarantine with 85 staff inside government officials claim the risk is a genetically engineered crop, in fact the facility is secretly focussed on biological weapons and one of their nasty germs has gotten loose and infected most of the people trapped inside. The infected are driven insane as the rage centres in their brain are stimulated and they set about some homicidal behaviour. Local sheriff Cal teams up with a scientist and works to save his wife who is trapped inside. This is a good premise but the dialogue and acting are corny and events play out more like a disaster movie than a horror, make-up on the infected is minimal and there is no real gore. There isn't really much tension either as the various groups of survivors and infected run round the building like headless chickens and the inclusion of comedy one-liners doesn't improve matters. The cast is littered with forgotten faces from the eighties.
