This is a warped surreal nightmare of a film from Russia. Some guy in an apartment is having nightmares about black pulsating sacks, he has a weird encounter with a telephone repairman who tells him to watch out for vampires and then his nightmare world comes spilling deliriously into his waking life. There are some strange side characters who seem unrelated and after a while the idea of having a coherent plot is completely thrown out of the window and instead we get long, psychedelic fractal sequences edited together with disturbing glimpses of horrible characters and gore. This is visually amazing, a blend of cheap effects and clever direction which combine with a madness inducing soundtrack to create a very arty but disturbing series of images, some are chilling, others are laughably bad but the onslaught is relentless. The problem is they've been blended together and fired onto the screen with a blunderbuss so it is very hard to tell what is going on and there is very little dialogue to help you. Fans of dark imagery might enjoy this, if you like a plot in your movies then steer clear.

Gore - some horrible nausea inducing cheap gore

Vampires - they call the demonic alien looking monsters in this vampires but they certainly aren´t your average neck biters
