This weak supernatural thriller plays with the idea of our childhood fear of the dark suggesting that there is something lurking there which we should be afraid of. Central character Julia witnesses her best friend, Billy, committing suicide after babbling about how "They" are out to get him, she teams up with another two of his friends and they realise that they all suffered from night terrors when they were young and that now Billy is dead the night terrors are back. This is derivative, predictable stuff with thin characters and loads of plot holes. It is well directed and virtually gore free with some nice scares but the creepy looking demons are never adequately explained, the script is pretty terrible and the film is totally forgettable.
