Few horror movie ideas have generated as much buzz as The Human Centipede. A crazy surgeon basically attaches three people, ass to mouth, to create a human centipede. The movie starts out slow as we get a glimpse of the creepy surgeon and then move on to two incredibly stupid American girls who break down in the middle of nowhere and knock on the wrong door. We eventually reach the surgical procedure and it proves every bit as disgusting as advertised. The idea really falls into the gross out category but the on screen action isn't especially gory or graphic. There's a complete lack of tension, coherent plot and character development that renders the whole thing flat and boring for long stretches. If it wasn't for the hideously, creepy-looking Dieter Laser this wouldn't work at all. It's certainly original, but beyond the gimmicky idea there's not much going on.
