The evil spirit of Kayako has made it to Chicago now and started haunting a run down apartment block. A young Japanese woman tries to save a family from a horrible ghostly death but without much luck. The writing is terrible and there are a few plot twists which really make no sense and are never explained. The director Toby Wilkins does his best and there are a couple of vaguely creepy sequences but for the most part this is about what you'd expect from the third part of a series that was only ever meant to be one film.
