A teenage girl meets up with her boyfriend and another couple for a night at the carnival. Everyone has a good time until the group idiot suggests they spend the night in the Funhouse. They agree and the couples are making out when they hear the mutant kid who works in the Funhouse in the room below them. He is paying the Fortune Teller for a quickie and she makes the mistake of laughing at him. Enraged he murders her with the teens looking on. The group moron tries to steal money and then when mutant boy's father turns up he drops his lighter through a crack in the floor and alerts the bad guys to their presence. Cue a night of terror for our teens as the ugly kid tries to catch and kill them. It takes a while to get going but the direction from Hooper is good and he creates a few tense scenes. There isn't much in the way of gore but the mutant make up is quite nicely done and as eighties slasher flicks go I quite like this one.
