Creepy, murderous kids are a horror film winner for me. The Children is a fairly low budget, British horror about a Christmas holiday gone horribly wrong. Two families settle in to a remote house to enjoy the festivities but their kids get some kind of infection and turn on their parents. The atmosphere builds quite well and when the children really lose the plot there are quite a few creepy and gory scenes. The main problem is that your suspension of disbelief is stretched a bit far as they struggle to find reasons for everyone to stay at this remote house and the adults react in completely insane ways.
