The Barber

I'm not going to lie to you The Barber is hardly a classic but it is fun as a cheap, cheesy, relaxing piece of thriller fluff. The film only works because of Malcolm McDowell who narrates and also plays the eponymous psycho barber. He is running amok in a small, perpetually dark town and getting away with it, largely because all of the other characters in the film are morons. Even the FBI agent drafted in to deal with the series of murders is far from the sharpest tool in the box, he is a tool though. McDowell gives it a darkly comic tone and despite the fact it is predictable and daft it's a fun way to spend an hour and a half.
