Jigsaw is hiding out in a warehouse on the edge of town and gets his disciple Amanda to kidnap a doctor in the hope of keeping him alive. As she battles to operate on his brain tumour another victim is playing out his own game and the various threads collide in a gory finale. The contrived plot is explained via flashbacks and we get a great deal more explanation than in the previous two movies. The film also features the usual array of gory and gross death and torture sequences but they really push into nauseating territory here. This is better than Saw 2 but nowhere near as good as the original, still fans of the series will probably enjoy this outing.
