Throw various familiar genre ideas into the pot together along with Christian Slater and the resulting mess is predictably unimpressive. Film students decide to tastelessly re-enact some murder from years before and stumble onto legendary evil filmmaker, Louis le Prince (doesn't that name just annoy you straight away?) There's some kind of seemingly innocuous videotape from the olden days which is capable of possessing people and making them murder obnoxious teens. That's not enough so we've got Slater as a creepy pervert cop who buys videos of girls in the changing room. It's never very clear what is supposed to be happening and all of the characters are really unlikeable so there's no one to root for. This is an uninspired waste of time and the car clash of clichés in the writing is the main culprit.
