The creepy death predicting phone calls start up again in this confused sequel. As with the first film people receive phone calls, apparently from their future self at the point of death. The deaths then play out. It's all the work of some spiteful ghost. Despite the efforts of the cops, a nosy journalist and a bunch of teens there's no escaping a nasty fate. This lacks the impact of the original, feels lower budget and fails to scare. There is still some atmosphere but things get so confused towards the end that you could easily fail to catch the big twist. Ultimately this is muddled and unsatisfying and the original probably didn't really need a sequel in the first place.
