This is an explosive and chilling horror movie about a New York subway train which you really don't want to board. An aspiring photographer desperate to get that perfect dangerous shot is hanging around the subway station one night and he gets sucked into a mysterious plot which leads him to follow a vicious psycho killer. His girlfriend fears for his sanity and events begin to get more and more twisted building towards a pretty daft explanation but we have plenty of fun getting there. This is seriously violent and gory, beautifully directed, tense and thoroughly enjoyable. It is based on a Clive Barker story and for some reason Lionsgate chose to give it a limited release which is a real shame.

Gore - this is incredibly gory with a lot of good CG blood splatter and some seriously nasty moments, Ted Raimi's cameo is the best and has to be seen to be believed
