A young woman goes to the creepy coastal town of Point Dune in search of her artist father. She runs into three rather odd companions instead and it soon becomes clear that all is not well in this seaside town. The locals aren't just insular they're positively murderous in a clever zombie kind of way. This is extremely low budget seventies horror and apparently it was never properly finished because the investors pulled their money out. Surprisingly it's a really decent movie with some real atmosphere. It is slow, but the tension builds beautifully and there are some memorably unsettling scenes. The beach house setting and the artwork inside will also make an impression. It's well worth checking out, especially since it's in the public domain.
