Peter and Carla could enter the most obnoxious couple in the world competition and they'd have a pretty good shot at the title. I spent the first 30 minutes of this film trying to decide who is more detestable. Their relationship is in ruins so they decide to go on a secluded camping trip to a beach somewhere in outback Australia. Their casual disregard for nature as they set up camp and Peter sets about gleefully chopping down a tree "because I can" soon comes back to bite them. This is a remake and I guess you could call it eco-horror. These city-dwelling, pampered idiots suffer the wrath of the great outdoors in a series of bizarre, creepy and sometimes comical ways. This was more entertaining than I expected it to be, but it still isn't great.
