Many horror fans will have already come across Deadpit.Com. If you haven't it's basically a couple of buddies discussing the horror genre, reviewing films and interviewing the people that make them. Uncle Bill (Aaron T. Frye) and the Creepy Kentuckian (Wes Vance) sound so much like hillbillies you can practically hear the banjos in the background. As Wes points out himself they are actually total horror geeks but somehow the thick Kentuckian accents lend a redneck flavour that overpowers the nerd factor. They're likeable, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. Their love of the genre comes over powerfully and this documentary charts the rise of their show to the point where they could command interviews with legends like John Carpenter and George A. Romero. For fans of Deadpit this is essential viewing but horror fans in general will get something out of it and there are some cameos from big names in the genre. There are some funny moments in the film but none more so than the angry, utterly talentless, Uwe Boll trying to slag them off. They can be very proud that they managed to offend him.
