Freak Out

A horror film fanatic is attacked by an inept and extremely effeminate escaped mental patient and with the help of his best mate tries to train his attacker to be a successful serial killer by drawing on his knowledge of the genre. This is a great premise but Freak Out fails to make the most of it. The film is extremely low budget and dispenses with horror altogether in favour of groan inducing humour. The acting is very amateurish, the gags are childish and apart from the frequent comic references to better horror films this is dull viewing which drags on for an hour and a half.
