So the premise of this Japanese horror is that you can phone a special number at midnight and the devil will grant you a wish but he'll deduct the length of the call from your life. I know what you're thinking, this sounds too good to be true right? Well that's because it is too good to be true. Turns out the devil is a phone scammer and he leaves the line open and then hits you with a bumper mobile bill for $15,000. I'm not joking. A bunch of schoolgirls wish for boyfriends and dead dads and then they all commit suicide. It's not entirely clear if they kill themselves because of the big bill or if the devil is actually taking control of them (I think that was the idea). The direction is comedy bad. It tries very hard to be stylish but misses the mark by a mile. There's also a twist ending which you cannot watch without giving a derisory snort and turning off your TV in disgust.
