After some dodgy toxic gunk is dumped in the local river the rednecks begin to mutate into fish monsters. A group of biology students studying the river run afoul of these mutated beasts and the bodies begin to pile up. They have to team up with a local psycho to try to survive in this hammy, daft, horror comedy which is reminiscent of Troma flicks. This is super cheap and pretty amateurish and yet it was strangely fun to watch. The corny style goes some way toward masking the poor acting and the characters are very colourful. In terms of horror - there isn't any and the effects and makeup are micro-budget style. William DeCoff is the pick of the bunch when it comes to acting talent and his paternalistic hillbilly character was nicely done. For such an obviously low budget effort this is enjoyable but it's impossible to recommend if you're going to have to pay money to see it.

Gore - some extremely cheap gory moments

Monster - a big ugly rubber fish head mask and gloves
